In between two other paintings, just finished, still on easel. “White Barn” oil on canvas, 18” x 24”. While
sorting through some source images with an artist friend, a photo of
this barn visually struck me because of its stoic, solemn appearance.
I brought the barn forward, removed certain details, and used direct
color brush marks, working towards a silent first impression presence.
Not
certain as to barn types/styles, I’m guessing this might be a ‘Bank and
Basement Barn’ with cupola. (If anybody knows for sure, please message
me.)
