Frozen Lake Erie (Looking North from Avon Lake Marina), oil on canvas panel, 8" x 10"
Visiting my in-laws in Avon Lake, I walked along the Lake Erie shoreline taking pictures of the snow-covered lake. This particular day was cold and desolate, yet bright and invigorating. There was such a simplicity of the view that also conveyed a sense of vastness, which I wanted to express on a small picture plane.

Beautiful!
Thank you Tommi. Scenes like that though barren and a bit cold have a tranquil beauty to them ("a la" Rockwell Kent.)
